The inspiration it brings out in others.

I had a young student once 5 years old, she was very shy when it came to talking to more than one person and she felt uncomfortable in large groups, often quiet and kept herself to herself. After partaking in a trial class, I spoke with her Father and said: I really advise you to enroll her in an acting class to help her build her confidence and communication skills with others.
Over the next few lessons she observed and started to come out of her shell more, joining in with group activities, but was still very quiet. I made sure she was always engaged and involved but I didn’t want to push her too much. It wasn’t until I asked for the students to prepare a tongue twister for the following session and teach it to the class. This lesson she blossomed, coming into the classroom full of energy and asking to perform not one but two tongue twisters to the class. Now she is always my first volunteer and loves to perform in front of the class.
This is one of THE most amazing feelings as a teacher. Seeing a child blossom and develop which is not dissimilar to how I started with a gentle push and guidance from my teacher. The job is not only a fun and interactive way of learning but also unlocks imaginations which are limitless.
Being a teacher allows you to express your creativity that has the ability to make connections, to make associations and to turn things around and express them in a new way. Every class is different from the next, the engagement, involvement and activities bring life to the classroom and the opportunity to give back is a fulfilling one.
